reSDL marketplace FAQ

reSDL is not a normal collectible NFT. Every token represents a live SDL position on chain. That means the details behind the position matter more than the artwork. This page is the plain English guide for what you are buying, what changes the value, and how to trade it safely.

reSDL is a live on-chain SDL position. The NFT moves and the position moves with it.

Every reSDL has its own SDL amount, boost, lock length, and unlock state. Floor price does not tell the whole story.

Listings are off-chain signed orders. The buyer settles on Ethereum and pays gas; the marketplace itself takes no fee.

Quick answers

What is this marketplace?

It is the only marketplace built specifically for reSDL positions. Every listing surfaces the live position data that determines value, so buyers can decide on fundamentals, not artwork.

What am I actually buying?

You buy a reSDL NFT and the SDL position it controls. The NFT and the position move together; whoever holds the NFT owns the position.

Why are two reSDL NFTs priced differently?

Each position has its own SDL amount, boost, lock duration, and unlock status. Two NFTs from the same collection can represent very different positions and trade accordingly.

What should I check before I buy?

Token ID, reSDL value, boost, unlock date, price, and current offer count. All six appear on every listing row in Browse Listings.

Can I get out of a position right away after buying?

Only if that specific position is already withdrawable under the reSDL contract rules. The position’s unlock status is shown on the listing.

Why not just use a normal NFT marketplace?

A generic NFT page shows you the picture. A reSDL is a financial position, so the value lives in the live position data, not the artwork. This marketplace puts those numbers on every listing row.

The reSDL position

What is reSDL, and what is "SDL amount"?

reSDL is a transferable NFT that represents a locked SDL position on Ethereum. Each NFT controls one position. The "SDL amount" is the base SDL inside that position; it does not include boost.

What does each reSDL NFT contain?

A locked SDL amount, a boost, a lock duration, and an unlock status. Unclaimed staking rewards do not live inside the NFT; they are tracked separately, per wallet address, in the reward pools.

What is boost?

Extra reward weight you earn by locking SDL longer. A higher boost means more rewards per SDL for the same base amount. You do not receive more SDL; the SDL amount is unchanged. Boost only increases the weight your position carries when rewards are distributed.

What is effective balance?

Base SDL plus boost. It represents the position’s full reward-earning weight in one number.

Why does the artwork look the same across positions?

Artwork is identifier, not value. Every reSDL position is unique in its numbers, not its image. The marketplace surfaces the numbers directly.

Buying

How do I buy a listed reSDL?

Open Browse Listings, click Buy on a row, confirm the transaction in your wallet, pay gas. The NFT and position transfer to you on-chain.

What can I pay with?

Each listing accepts one specific payment token set by the seller. The marketplace supports ETH, WETH, LINK, SDL, stLINK, wstLINK, and USDC. If you do not hold that token, see the Pay With Any Token section below: on mainnet you can pay with any source token from any chain Swapper supports (or even fiat), and the marketplace bridges into the listing’s token for you.

Do I need gas to buy?

Yes. The purchase settles on Ethereum, so standard Ethereum gas applies.

Does the marketplace take a fee?

No platform fee, no royalty. The buyer pays the seller directly. Your only cost beyond the listing price is Ethereum gas.

Does floor price tell me what reSDL is worth?

No. Two reSDLs at the same price can be very different positions. Always read the row data, not the floor.

Can I compare listings by image or rarity?

No. Compare by reSDL value, boost, and unlock date. Images are identical.

Pay With Any Token (cross-chain checkout)

What if I do not have the listing’s payment token in my wallet?

Use the "Pay with any token" button under Buy Now on mainnet ERC-20 listings. The marketplace uses Swapper to bridge or swap your source token into the listing’s payment token, then atomically approves Seaport, fulfills the order, and refunds any excess back to you.

Can I pay from a different chain?

Yes. Hold tokens on any chain Swapper supports as a source (the supported list is managed by Swapper and can change), and the marketplace bridges them into the listing’s payment token on Ethereum before settling the purchase. From your side it is one click; the bridging and swap happen inside the same flow.

Can I pay with fiat?

Yes, via Swapper. The same "Pay with any token" button supports fiat checkout (such as a card). The flow converts to the listing’s payment token under the hood and settles on Ethereum.

When does the "Pay with any token" button appear?

On mainnet listings priced in an ERC-20 token (WETH, LINK, SDL, stLINK, wstLINK, or USDC). Native-ETH mainnet listings use the standard Buy Now flow directly because ETH is already the source. The Swapper button renders below the regular Buy Now button when applicable.

What does cross-chain payment cost on top of the listing price?

Swap and bridge fees on your source token (charged by Swapper) plus standard Ethereum gas at settlement. Any unused token balance is automatically swept back to your wallet in the same transaction, so you never overpay because of a routing buffer.

Is the cross-chain payment atomic with the purchase?

The approve, fulfill, and refund-sweep steps run as a single batched flow after Swapper delivers the bridged token. The order either fills or it does not. The refund-sweep returns your unused balance regardless of which side the dust ends up on.

Selling

Can I list a reSDL NFT I own?

Yes. Owning the NFT is the only requirement. Pick a price, a payment token, and a listing duration, then sign.

Does listing cost gas?

Almost free. Your first listing on the account requires a one-time on-chain approval that lets Seaport move your reSDL when it sells (a small gas cost, paid once per collection per wallet). After that, every listing is just an off-chain signed message: nothing posts to Ethereum, and only the eventual buyer pays gas at settlement.

What payment token can I list in?

ETH, WETH, LINK, SDL, stLINK, wstLINK, or USDC. The buyer pays you in exactly that token.

How long can a listing stay open?

Pick from 1 day, 3, 7, 14, 30, 90 days, 1 year, or Never (100 years). Listings do not auto-renew. Once expired, you need to relist.

Can I cancel my listing?

Yes, any time before it is filled. Cancel is one click from the listing row. A small on-chain transaction settles the cancellation, so you pay gas.

Do I keep claiming staking rewards while my reSDL is listed?

Yes. stLINK, stPOL, and stESP rewards keep accruing to you until the NFT actually sells. Listing your NFT does not pause anything.

Can I list a position that is already in unlock mode?

Yes. The listing row shows the unlock status to buyers so they see what they are getting. No restriction in the contract or the UI.

Offers

Can anyone make an offer on my reSDL?

Yes. Every reSDL holder can receive offers from any buyer, on listed and unlisted NFTs alike.

Can I make an offer on a reSDL that is not listed for sale?

Yes. Open All NFTs, find a position you want, click Make Offer. The current owner can accept, ignore, or wait.

What can offers be paid in?

ERC20 tokens only. Native ETH is not accepted for offers because offers require a token allowance the marketplace can pull from. Use WETH if you want to offer in ETH-equivalent.

How long does an offer stay open?

Pick from 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, or 30 days. Default is 3 days. After expiry, the offer can no longer be accepted.

How do I accept an offer on my reSDL?

Open My Offers (or the listing row), click Accept. The transaction settles on Ethereum, your reSDL transfers to the offerer, the offered ERC20 lands in your wallet.

Can I cancel an offer I made?

Yes. Open My Offers, click Cancel. Cancellation is on-chain (gas).

Rewards and ownership

Who claims staking rewards while my NFT is listed?

You do. Listing the NFT does not transfer it. While it sits on the marketplace, the rewards keep accruing to your address and you keep claiming them.

Who receives rewards after a sale?

The buyer, from the moment of transfer forward. The seller’s previously-accrued rewards stay with the seller’s address. The buyer starts a fresh reward stream against the position they just acquired.

Do past unclaimed rewards come with the NFT?

No. Reward bookkeeping is per wallet address, not per token ID. When you transfer a reSDL, any rewards you already earned on that position stay with your address, and the new owner starts at zero. The reSDL contract settles the seller’s accrued rewards at the moment of transfer.

Should I claim my pending rewards before listing?

It makes no difference to the buyer. Your accrued rewards belong to your address whether you claim them before listing or after the sale. Claim whenever you want.

What if the buyer asks about pending rewards on the listing?

The pending-rewards number shown on a listing reflects what the current owner could claim. That number is not part of what transfers. The buyer is paying for the underlying SDL position (amount + boost + remaining lock), and they earn rewards from their own ownership going forward.

Withdrawals and lock

When can I withdraw the SDL from a reSDL position?

Only when that position is withdrawable under the reSDL contract rules. The unlock date is shown on every listing row.

What happens if my reSDL becomes withdrawable while it is listed?

Nothing breaks. The listing stays valid. The buyer would receive a withdrawable position. If you decide to withdraw the underlying SDL yourself, cancel the listing first; otherwise a buyer could fill the listing for a position you have already emptied.

Does the marketplace auto-cancel my listing when my lock ends?

No. Listings expire only on the duration you picked or when filled. The unlock status is shown live on the row so buyers see exactly where the position stands.

What happens once a position is fully withdrawn?

The NFT no longer represents an active reSDL position. The token may continue to exist on-chain, but its value is gone.

Fees and gas

What does the marketplace charge?

Nothing. No platform fee, no royalty. The buyer pays the seller directly.

Are there gas costs?

Yes, but only on actual on-chain actions. Free actions (off-chain): signing in, browsing, signing a Seaport listing or offer message. One-time gas (per wallet, per collection or token): approving Seaport to move your reSDL the first time you list it; approving Seaport to spend an ERC20 the first time you offer with it. Gas every time: buying, accepting an offer, cancelling a listing, cancelling an offer.

Do I get a refund if my listing expires?

There is nothing to refund. Listings cost zero to create. Only buyers pay gas at the moment of purchase.

Chains and addresses

What chains is the marketplace live on?

Ethereum mainnet (chain ID 1) and Sepolia testnet (chain ID 11155111). Each chain has its own deployed marketplace contracts; positions on one chain cannot be listed on the other.

What is the official reSDL contract address?

0x0B2eF910ad0b34bf575Eb09d37fd7DA6c148CA4d

What is the reSDL contract address on Sepolia testnet?

0xe10c58453BcFA3514e89965157380d3D7c1059E6

What protocol does the marketplace settle on?

Seaport. The mainnet marketplace contract is 0x4524011801Bb496dEAaf675EED123ed2ba5945D8. Listings and offers are signed Seaport orders; trades are Seaport fulfillments.

Sign-in and wallet

Do I need to sign in to browse listings?

No. Browsing is open to anyone.

When do I need to sign in?

When you create a listing, make an offer, or cancel an offer. Sign-in is a one-time off-chain signature (Sign-In With Ethereum). It costs no gas and lasts until you switch wallets.

What does Sign-In With Ethereum actually do?

It proves the wallet you are connected with is yours, without exposing your private key and without any on-chain transaction. The marketplace uses your signed session to authorize listing, offering, and cancelling on your behalf.

What wallets work?

Any wallet that supports standard Ethereum signing on mainnet or Sepolia. MetaMask, Rabby, and any standard EIP-1193 wallet work.

What does the marketplace charge?

Nothing. No platform fee, no royalty. The buyer pays the seller directly.

Are there gas costs?

Yes, but only on actual on-chain actions. Free actions (off-chain): signing in, browsing, signing a Seaport listing or offer message.
